Every catering employee in Part A of the CLA catering is entitled to 13 roster-free days per year with pay. This way, a 40-hour workweek equates to an average workweek of 38 hours. Each year, you can voluntarily indicate whether you want to convert these roster-free days into pay on an annual basis.
Value of roster-free days
You also have the option to have this pay disbursed either in one go or not. Additionally, it is possible to purchase your roster-free days on an annual basis. The value when buying and selling roster-free days is 0.45% of the gross annual salary per day. Employees aged 55 and over can purchase roster-free days at 0.30% of the gross annual salary. If an employee aged 55 and over makes use of this, it is not possible to sell such a day again.
Employees in educational catering at locations with a fixed company closure are not entitled to buy or sell roster-free days. Once you have made a choice, it remains valid when a contract change occurs.
The choice to buy or sell roster-free days must be communicated to the employer in the month of November.
