*As a 'Basic' member you benefit from a favourable rate
Did you know that you can reclaim a portion of your contribution annually through your employer? This can amount to 40% of the amount you pay annually! Your employer will need proof of union contribution. You can easily and directly download this from your personal account page.
To take advantage of this scheme, you must inform your company's payroll department in writing before the last salary payment of the year. The contribution refund will be settled via the salary or with a one-time payment.
Membership regulations
- You have become a member of De Horecabond for an indefinite period.
- You have a 14-day cooling-off period.
- You can cancel your membership on a monthly basis.
- The subscription fee is debited from your account monthly.
- Are you a student in hospitality? Then you pay no subscription fee for the first year. After the first year, the subscription fee (50% of the normal fee) is automatically debited from your account.
- Do you work 20 hours or less, are you unemployed or long-term sick? Then you receive a 50% discount on your membership*!
- Are you 21 years old or younger, then you receive a 50% discount on your Secure membership*!
- Are you 21 or younger and work 20 hours or less and have chosen the Basic membership? Then you pay only €2.50 per month.
- If you have a problem that arose before the membership, unfortunately, we cannot assist you.
- With the Secure membership, during the first half year of membership, you are only entitled to (written) help and support in legal disputes and support in objection procedures and legal proceedings, after you have committed to remain a member for at least two years from the start of the membership and have paid the amount equivalent to two years' subscription fees in advance.
- After the first half-year, you are entitled to free help and support.

Terms and conditions for legal assistance

Membership card
You can download and print your digital membership card or save it on your smartphone. You need your membership card for services like the FNV Tax Service and with some partners of FNV Member benefits. Go to your own account page to download the membership card.
Lost membership card/forgotten membership number?
Your membership number is listed on your welcome letter and digital membership card. You can always request your membership number from us or contact us.
Cancelling
Do you no longer want to benefit from the advantages of the membership? You can cancel the membership monthly.
