De Horecabond is here for all (former) employees and students in hospitality, catering, and recreation. Together with our members, we strive for a hospitality industry that takes everyone seriously. An industry where people have job security and learn and work with passion, enjoyment, and pride. We achieve this by negotiating CLAs and advocating for training companies, education, and pensions.
Mission
Every day, De Horecabond visibly expands the movement that advocates for the interests and rights of all employees in the hospitality sector.
Vision
The hospitality sector is a mature and serious industry where people have job security and learn to work with passion, enjoyment, and pride.
De Horecabond and FNV
We are an association. This means that member involvement is very important. Members have significant influence on policies, such as the budget and CLA agreements. De Horecabond is an independent union affiliated with the FNV. With nearly 900,000 members, the FNV is the largest union in the Netherlands. Together with the FNV, we strive for strong sectors and a more social Netherlands. Read more about the FNV.
Management
De Horecabond is managed by a supervisory board and an union representative board. The supervisory board consists of employees from the sectors and they determine the policy and oversee its implementation. The union representative Board directs the work organisation. The work organisation ensures that the policy is implemented and that members are assisted with all their (legal) questions. The office is located in Almere, but of course, we are also frequently found on the shop floor.
Members’ Meeting
The supervisory board and the board are accountable at least once a year at the Members’ Meeting. This is the most important body within the trade union movement, where the members take charge! As a member, you can bring in your ideas, exert influence, and help shape the policy.
The next Members’ Meeting will take place on Monday, 1 June 2026. Keep an eye on the website!
FNV Union Council
The FNV Union Council determines the long-term course of FNV and is the highest body within the overarching FNV. It consists of just over 100 delegates, elected by the members from their own sector. If you are in the union council, you can really exert influence. Marisa Kleinee, Peter Stoute, and Rob Sander (members of De Horecabond) represent De Horecabond in the union council.
