Your privacy is of great importance to De Horecabond. We therefore comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our privacy and cookie statement in brief

In processing personal data, we comply with privacy legislation. This means that we:

We expressly do not use this information to inform your employer of your question. We retain this information as long as necessary for this contact or up to a maximum of two years after we last had contact with you.

Receiving an information Membership

Are you considering becoming a member of us? We can send you an information Membership by e-e-mail to explain what we can do for you! For this, we need your consent.

  • Whether you are a student

We retain this information for up to two years after we have sent you the information Membership.

Becoming a member

As a member of De Horecabond, you enjoy many benefits. You can choose from three packages if you want to become a member: 'Secure', 'Basic', and 'Student'. After registration, you have access to your own account page on our website with your own e-e-mail and password (performance of the agreement).

  • Number of working hours per week

Creating and managing your account

If you have become a member, you can create your own account on our website and also manage your account (performance of the agreement).

We retain this information for up to five years after you unsubscribe as a member of De Horecabond. Some personal data we retain longer, due to the fiscal retention obligation.

Sign up a colleague

Fortunately, you are already a member and know the benefits of membership. When you tell your colleagues about this and make them members of De Horecabond, you receive 25 euros from us once your colleague has actually become a member. All your colleague has to do is provide your details when signing up. The data we process when your colleague signs up can be found under the heading 'becoming a member'. Processing your data is done for the performance of our agreement.

For this, we process the following data from you:

We retain these personal data for up to two years after you have entered the data.

Becoming a donor

Do you support us warmly but have no need for membership and legal assistance from De Horecabond? Then you can also become a donor (performance of the agreement).

For this, we process the following data from you:

  • e-e-mail
  • Address details
  • Payment details

We retain this information for up to two years after you have donated an amount of money. Some personal data we retain longer, due to the fiscal retention obligation.

Receiving our newsletter, partner mails, and/or member magazines

De Horecabond sends newsletters and member magazines. As a member, you receive the De Horecabond newsletter in your mailbox once a month and the member magazine hospitality Info in your letterbox four times a year. This way, you stay informed about all the news on work and income, Updates developments in the sectors, membership benefits, and more. You need to give permission for this.

You can also sign up for the Member benefits FNV newsletter. This is sent once a month. In this newsletter, we inform you about new temporary benefits and the annual benefits. You can also sign up for the Member benefits FNV partner e-mail. From Member benefits FNV, a partner e-mail is sent about five times a year. The partner mailings focus on the offer of one (annual) benefit. Additionally, these mails contain handy tips and advice from the (annual) partner. You need to give permission for this.

If you are not a member but still want to receive our newsletter, we process the following data:

We retain your data until you indicate that you no longer wish to receive newsletters or member magazines. You can unsubscribe by sending an e-e-mail to communicatie@dehorecabond.nl. Each newsletter also contains an unsubscribe link.

Sharing your experience

You have the opportunity to give a review of our services. We process your personal data based on legitimate interest. We have a commercial interest in improving our services. Our commercial interest prevails over your privacy interest, given that you have control over what information you leave in the customer review.

We retain these data for two years after you have shared your experience with us.

Downloading a CLA or other information

You can download one of the CLAs or other useful documents such as sample letters or brochures from our website. For example, you can find out if you earn the correct salary and what your rights are (performance of the agreement).

Working at De Horecabond

Have you responded to one of our vacancies or submitted an open application? Then we process your personal data to handle your application and prepare for possibly entering into an employment contract.

For this, we process the following personal data:

  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Motivation letter
  • Any other information you send with your application

We retain your application data for up to six weeks after the position is filled. We retain these data so we can contact you if the position becomes vacant again within the probation period. If we cannot offer you a position at this time, we can—with your permission—retain the application data for another year. You can withdraw your consent at any time by sending us an e-e-mail. If you come to work with us, we retain your application data in your staff file. This file is retained as long as necessary and concerning the application data for up to two years after employment.

A social media and internet investigation may be part of the application procedure. This is necessary to ensure that when hiring new staff, our image is maintained. We do this based on our legitimate interest. We search for your name on Google and your possible profile on various social media. We only do this when these profiles are public; we will not ask you to grant us access to a protected social media page or make a connection with us. The results of the investigation are discussed with you. If you object to this, you can indicate this by e-e-mail when you apply.

When can we share your personal data with third parties?

De Horecabond only shares your data with third parties when this is permitted under Updates legislation. It may happen that we provide your personal data to third parties because:

  • we have engaged them to process certain data;
  • it is necessary to perform the agreement with you;
  • you give permission for this;
  • we have a legitimate interest in this;
  • we are legally obliged to do so (for example, if the police demand it in case of a suspected crime).

Are your personal data secured?

De Horecabond takes appropriate technical and organisational measures regarding the processing of personal data, against loss or any form of unlawful processing (such as unauthorised access, alteration, modification, or provision of personal data).

We take the following security measures, among others:

Restricting authorised access to your personal data by means of:

  • logical access control on our laptops and systems, using passwords;
  • encryption of digital files
  • securing network connections via WPA2 security
  • all online data is secured with 2-factor authentication
  • all laptops have BitLocker security

We work as digitally as possible: old papers go through the shredder, and digital documents are secured.

Internet and cookies

On our websites, we use cookies from ourselves and third parties. Cookies are information files that can be automatically stored on or read from the visitor's device (such as PC, tablet, or smartphone) when visiting a website. This happens via the web browser on the device.
