"It's people who make the difference"
Erwin Gosselink, secretary-treasurer
Erwin is eager to continue building on the wonderful organisation that has been established. "I see it as my mission to maintain the connection between our mission and vision on one hand and active members and the work organisation on the other."
He continues along the path that has been set, with plenty of room for innovation. "In an organisation full of energy. De Horecabond has felt like an ideal match for me from the very first moment." Since May 2023, he has been the secretary-treasurer at De Horecabond.
He describes his style as connecting. "This role suits me because I feel the passion people have for their profession. Just like in our sectors, the result depends on a good team, and it's people who make the difference."
Before joining De Horecabond, Gosselink worked as a lawyer. "As a lawyer, I mostly stood up for the rights of an individual, but at the union, we do that for the collective, which means you impact more people. That gives me a great deal of satisfaction."
What about his own experience in the sectors? Laughing: "Nowadays, I also make many company visits in my private time, as I really enjoy dining out."
