Who are we?
We are De Horecabond: the union for work, income, and Your career in the hospitality sectors of hospitality, catering, and recreation. With over 23,000 members and a dedicated work organisation of 20 FTE, we are an association centred around solidarity, social justice, education, and sustainability. We are progressive, flexible, and always on the move. Together, we ensure that working in hospitality continues to pay off!
What will you do?
As a member of the supervisory board, you will oversee the management and direction of De Horecabond. You will be a sparring partner, safeguard our mission and vision, and think strategically about the challenges facing our sectors. Consider themes such as employment conditions, pensions, education, and member activation. You will:
- monitor compliance with laws and regulations, statutes, and policies
- act as a sounding board for the management
- bring your unique expertise to a diverse team of supervisors
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for enthusiastic and committed candidates who:
- have a keen eye for social trends and developments, especially within hospitality, catering, and recreation
- have an affinity with associations and working with volunteers
- think critically while supporting our mission
- can collaborate and listen well in a diverse team
Experience as a supervisor, manager, or in another role within a governance environment is a plus. We are also open to young talent with a fresh perspective. We value diversity in background, experience, and perspectives and also invite non-members to apply.
