What will you do?

Within the working organisation, you will lead the teams behind the collective and individual legal representation of the members of De Horecabond and workers in the hospitality industry. With an affinity for legal content and collective work, you translate our policy, ambitions, and objectives into concrete work plans, CLAs, and collective and individual services. You have a strong operational responsibility in this. You recognise trends in help requests and focus on quality, speed, and careful referral.

Differentiating between what the various teams and team members need is woven into your management. You know how to connect the professionals from the teams, strengthen cooperation between the teams and other teams within the working organisation, stimulate from the (legal) content, and encourage ownership on the work floor. You smoothly combine imposing structure and boundaries with allowing room for initiatives and input from both the association and the working organisation. You navigate with a sense of proportion and have sharp insight into governance, organisational culture, and alignment.

In short, your core tasks are:

  • leading two teams (14 employees), operationally and substantively, based on team goals and from our broader course, taking into account the HR cycle;
  • translating (sector) policy and external developments into concrete work plans, results, and reports for both teams; - an MT role and intensive collaboration with colleagues in the MT.

You are directed by and report to the two-person board of De Horecabond. As a member of the management team, you actively contribute to collaboration across teams, the Your career of management, and are a constructive sparring partner for the MT and Board.

What do you bring?

You are a manager with courage and an eye for people. You are service-oriented and know what workers need (member-aware). Legally knowledgeable. sensitivity to political-administrative forces is in you, and you are analytically sharp, Your career-oriented, and innovative. You also deploy your commercial antenna where necessary. Furthermore, you bring:

  • Higher education or university level of work and thinking;
  • Extensive experience in leading a team of professionals;
  • Insights of (collective) labour law, social security law, and/or employment conditions;
  • Experience with administrative advice;
  • Driving licence B;
  • A sense of proportion;
  • Results-oriented, proactive, and strong communicator;
  • Affinity with our sectors (hospitality) and representation.
