Shortage of qualified staff is increasing

Entrepreneurs are increasingly facing fewer obstacles in their business operations. At the start of the third quarter, more than half reported no longer experiencing any obstacles. However, a shortage of suitable labour is more frequently cited as a hindrance. This is reported by CBS.

Shortage of qualified staff is increasing
An issue that is increasingly arising is a looming shortage of sufficiently qualified staff. Since the end of 2009, the number of entrepreneurs indicating that this shortage hinders their business operations has not been as high as it is now (7 percent). In the information and communication sector, even 17 percent of entrepreneurs report a shortage of qualified staff. In the business services sector, one in ten entrepreneurs cites this hindrance.
 
The number of entrepreneurs expecting to expand their workforce has also never been as high as at the beginning of the second and third quarters, when a net 8 and 6 percent of entrepreneurs respectively indicated they expect to expand their workforce..
