Are you young, working in hospitality, catering or recreation, and really want to make a difference? With our Young Ambassadors programme, we are building a youth movement that actively contributes to a fair future in hospitality. As a Young Ambassador, you tell our story at trade fairs, on social media, in schools and at companies, or you delve into the content, for example by contributing ideas about CLAs.
Together we make an impact
De Horecabond advocates for the interests of employees in the hospitality sector. But we can't do it alone. That's why we're looking for young people who want to contribute their ideas and energy. As a Young Ambassador, you can do this in your own way: some prefer to be present at fairs or schools, while others like to contribute to discussions about CLAs or union work. Together, you form a movement that truly makes a difference.
What will you do as a Young Ambassador?
First, you'll spend an afternoon at our office to get acquainted. Then, there will be two inspiring training days where you will learn all about our mission, the power of union work, and practical skills such as speaking, persuading, and organising.
Afterwards, you will actively contribute for a year in a way that suits you. Consider:
- Being present at fairs
- Being visible on social media
- Giving guest lectures at schools
- Visiting companies
- Contributing to discussions about CLAs or union work
You choose what suits you, because staying involved should be fun and valuable.
Why participate?
- You build a strong network of like-minded young people
- You receive training and experience that looks good on your CV
- You contribute to a fairer and stronger sector
- There are opportunities to grow as an active member
- If you contribute on a working day, you receive compensation through union leave
