On Monday, 15 April 2024, employees and employers engaged in discussions during the conference 'Catering and hospitality: welcoming together!' about the opportunities and challenges in the sector. It was an inspiring and successful conference with great conversations and valuable insights!
During the conference, much was discussed about the opportunities and challenges in the sector regarding the inflow, progression, and outflow of staff. The focus was on how the sector should further develop in terms of employment conditions, as well as topics such as the sector's connection with vocational education, image, Your career, and communication between the shop floor and management were addressed. In the coming period, all input gathered during the conference will be further elaborated and then shared. In the coming weeks, the social partners will present the achieved negotiation results to their members.
Organisation
The conference was organised by industry partners Veneca, VOC Cateraars, CNV Vakmensen, De Unie, and FNV Catering and was chaired by Harry Glotzbach.
