For employees in inflight catering, a sector-wide travel allowance applies from 1 October 2022. This allowance is 19 pence per kilometre between 10-40 km.
If an older, better arrangement applies to you, a personal allowance that is indexed annually should be granted. A standard route planner is used to determine the distance. Only if the fastest route compared to the shortest route saves at least 15 minutes, are you eligible for reimbursement of the fastest route.
If you work a split shift or an extra shift that does not connect to a previous shift, the travelled home-work and work-home kilometres per day per shift (part) are added together separately for the allowance.
