The Senate approved the Future Pensions Act (Wtp) bill on 30 May.
The new law will come into effect on 1 July 2023, and pension funds, together with social partners, have until 1 January 2028 to adjust all Updates pension schemes to the new law. The FNV is pleased with this. The path to a new pension system can now continue, and the minister has given pension providers an extra year to implement the new pension schemes.
