On 1 April 2025, the Hospitality Your career Platform (HOP) will launch. This platform is an initiative by social partners CNV, De Horecabond and Koninklijke hospitality Nederland (KHN). The platform has been established to strengthen the hospitality sector, with projects that ensure better collaboration in the workplace, quality training, and a positive image of the hospitality industry.
What does this mean for you as a hospitality employee?
From 1 April 2025, a levy will be introduced to finance HOP. This levy amounts to 0.2% of the gross salary, equally divided between employer and employee. This means that 0.1% of your gross salary will be deducted as a contribution to HOP.
What do you need to know about this levy?

The levy collection starts on 1 April 2025. From that date, the levy will be processed in the payroll administration and will be visible on your payslip. - Obligation
The levy is mandatory for all employees and employers in the hospitality sector.
