Negotiation result on new hospitality CLA 2024

Today, trade unions FNV hospitality and CNV Vakmensen, along with employers' organisation Koninklijke hospitality Nederland (KHN), announced that they have reached a negotiation result for a new CLA hospitality effective from 1 January 2024.

The social partners have made agreements for a new CLA hospitality for a duration of one year. The agreements include a new salary structure and salary Your career. They provide the necessary improvement in purchasing power for hospitality staff, while also considering the fact that margins in the sector are under pressure and that several employers have already granted an additional pay rise in the recent period without being obliged to do so by the CLA.

Agreements focused on the future

For the first time, a minimum internship allowance will be established in the CLA hospitality. Agreements have also been made regarding overtime, contributing to a healthy work-life balance for employees. The year 2024 will be used to jointly develop a new job structure and a corresponding salary structure. Additionally, a platform will be set up to stimulate the Your career of the sector and its employees. Social partners in hospitality are clearly looking beyond the year for which this CLA is concluded. The joint goal is an attractive CLA hospitality that also ensures a level playing field for employment conditions across the entire hospitality sector.

It is good to note that social partners want to work together towards a future-proof sector. The constructive negotiations give confidence for further steps in the sector. A great example of this is the agreement to set up a platform to stimulate the Your career of the sector, both in the interest of employees and employers.”

From negotiation result to new CLA hospitality

The negotiation result will be presented by the trade unions FNV hospitality and CNV Vakmensen to their members. KHN is seeking approval from the National Board of the association. By 18 December at the latest, more clarity will be provided, and it will be announced whether there will indeed be a new CLA hospitality effective from 1 January 2024.
