Registration for the National Championships for Mentor-Student duos and for Young Chefs up to 25 years old is open. These competitions will take place during the Horecava 2019 at RAI Amsterdam on Tuesday, 8 January and Wednesday, 9 January 2019, respectively.
Following a successful edition of both competitions at the beginning of 2018, where De Nederlanden* won the National Championship for Mentor-Student and Sebastiaan Schreuder won the National Championship for Young Chefs, the Gastronomic Guild will organise these competitions again in 2019.
Sustainability as a central theme
The battleground is the Horecava (from 7 to 10 January 2019 at the RAI in Amsterdam). The competition cooking will take place in a spectacular setting in the Guild Arena. The central theme of the competition is sustainability, where all creativity can be utilised. The team will cook various dishes with a black box containing different (mandatory) ingredients for each course.
The ultimate test for the team's skills in collaboration, product Insights, technique, and creativity. The winners will not only take home the title but also some great prizes.
