Employers return to their base for more mandate

22-11-2023

On Tuesday, 21 November 2023, FNV Recreatie and CNV Vakmensen negotiated with employer organisations HISWA-RECRON for the third time regarding a new CLA for the (residential) recreation sector for 2024.

Although employers came to this meeting with a revised proposal and an improved salary offer, this offer was still not acceptable to FNV Recreatie and CNV Vakmensen. The meeting was nevertheless very constructive, and it seems that the unions have finally been able to make it clear to the employers that you, as loyal, hardworking, and professional recreation employees, deserve a substantial pay rise!

Employers have indicated that the proposals and arguments from the unions are very reasonable, but that they do not currently have the mandate to accommodate the unions and need to return to their members for a larger mandate.

What next?

The next meeting for a new CLA recreation is scheduled for Monday, 27 November 2023. Employers need a little more time to gather the mandate but indicate that they are putting the necessary urgency behind it and can invite the unions for the fourth round of negotiations at the beginning of December.

If this fourth round of negotiations takes place before 6 December 2023, we will of course pay attention to the outcome on the Day of Recreation.
