Download the CLA recreation.
Employers (HISWA-RECRON) and unions (CNV Vakmensen and FNV Recreatie) met at the negotiation table for the second time on Monday, 15 November, to discuss a new CLA for recreation. However, little progress has been made. The parties still have a long way to go. No concrete agreements have been reached yet.
Wages and Duration
Employers want a 2-year CLA. Employees are willing to agree to a 2-year CLA, but there must be materially and qualitatively good agreements in place. So far, this is not the case. Employees propose a duration of 1 year and a salary increase of €100 gross per month for everyone, along with the application of automatic price compensation (APC) from 1 January 2022. APC means that every year on 1 January, wages are increased. For this increase, the inflation figures from October of the previous year will be used as the reference month. (Inflation as of 1 October 2021 is 3.4%)
Employers have proposed a salary increase of 2 x 2% (1.5% from 1-1-22; 0.5% from 1-10-22; 1.5% from 1-1-23 and 0.5% from 1-10-23) for a 2-year CLA.
They have only partially accommodated our other proposals. We have responded to the salary offer, indicating that we find it insufficient and cannot take it back to our members. We have asked them to come up with a better proposal. We discussed the employers' salary offer with our CLA committee on Wednesday, 17 November, and have received a strong mandate from the CLA committee for the third round of negotiations, which will take place on Thursday, 2 December 2021. FNV Recreatie fears that we are not close to a resolution yet. We are still very far apart.
Next Steps
It remains to be seen if, during the third round of negotiations, employers will come with an improved salary offer. The CLA committee of FNV Recreatie will meet again on 8 December 2021 to discuss the further course of the negotiations.
