Ouwehands Zoo aims to effectively manage the crowds around the pandas

31-05-2017

From yesterday (30 May 2017), the panda enclosure Pandasia in Ouwehands has opened to the public. The zoo in Rhenen expects a lot of interest, especially in the first few weeks. To somewhat control and spread the visits, the park has taken various measures.

Some measures to regulate the crowds:

  • The Giant Pandas can only be visited with online tickets. The reservation requirement also applies to season ticket holders.
  • A maximum of 10,000 visitors is set for the park. So far, it seems that the crowds are manageable. In the park's reservation system, only the tickets for the first week (up to 4 June) were sold out on 30 May.
