De Horecabond has launched the campaign for a new CLA recreation today. In the coming weeks, the union will gather experiences and ideas from employees in the recreation sector. Based on this, De Horecabond will draft proposals for the upcoming CLA negotiations.
On 17 August, the union will start a nationwide tour visiting around 100 recreation parks. During these visits, we will engage in conversations with employees, and they can fill out a short questionnaire.
In September, De Horecabond and employers will resume negotiations for a new CLA recreation. At the employers' request, the discussions were previously postponed due to the economic situation in the recreation sector.
With the nationwide tour, De Horecabond aims to gain the best possible understanding of what is happening on the shop floor. The union is asking employees about topics such as salary, allowances, schedules, and work-life balance.
“The people on the shop floor know better than anyone what is going well and what can be improved,” says Carlo Snoek, second negotiator for the CLA recreation at De Horecabond. “With this tour, we gather their experiences and wishes, so that our efforts align with what employees truly find important.”
In addition to visits to recreation parks, the questionnaire is also available online. Anyone working in the recreation sector can participate, even if they are not a member of De Horecabond.
“The more employees participate, the better we can represent the interests of the sector during negotiations,” said Snoek. The results of the questionnaire will be discussed with the CLA committee of De Horecabond and will form the basis for the proposals to be submitted to employers later this year.
The more employees participate, the stronger we enter the negotiations. The questionnaire can be found at dehorecabond.nl/doemee.
