In recent weeks, various media have reflected on the performance of attractions and museums in 2016. Unfortunately, some attractions with a publicly listed parent company are not yet allowed to release their figures. Overall, we see that visitor numbers have remained fairly stable. At the beginning of April, the exact and verified figures will be published by Respons in their Day Attraction Monitor.
The figures below have been collected from media, press releases, and upon request. In some cases, these are not the exact figures; sometimes an estimate has been made. (For example, Wildlands Emmen indicated at the end of December that they would "come out slightly over 1.3 million".) Wildlands Emmen is also the most notable outlier in this overview with a growth of 67%. Here, the figures of Dierenpark Emmen have been compared with the newly opened (March 2016) Wildlands Emmen.
