In this versatile role, you are the central point of contact for our members and potential members. You will carry out daily membership administration, including managing debtors, enrolling new members, and deregistering members who have cancelled. Your focus will be on contacting members with payment arrears by phone, with member retention as a priority. Additionally, you will perform various telephone tasks, such as answering questions about membership and following up with those interested in our events.
What will you do?
- Enrol and deregister members;
- Answer questions about membership via email or phone;
- Proactively contact members with payment arrears by phone, aiming to retain their membership;
- In consultation with members, arrange suitable payment plans, always seeking connection and offering help where possible;
- Follow up with interested parties to inform and enthuse them about membership or participation in our events;
- Work closely with various departments within the organisation to optimally support members and prospects.
What do we expect from you?
- Experience with a union is a plus, but we find it more important that you understand what workers need and help them strengthen and defend their rights alongside all your colleagues. Furthermore:
- Carefulness and independence are the values from which you work;
- You possess effective communication skills and know how to conduct conversations in a connecting manner;
- You have a service-oriented attitude and show patience and understanding in conversations;
- You handle available information accurately regarding processing, recording, and follow-up in various systems;
- In contact with potential members, your goal is conversion to membership;
- Experience in debtor management or a similar role is a plus, but your enthusiasm and eagerness to learn are most important to us;
- You have an affinity with the hospitality industry and understand the challenges our members face;
- You are available for at least 16 hours per week;
- You know our core values and embody them in everything you do.
