Below you can see the steps that are taken to help you. At each step, we assess whether a follow-up step is necessary. This way, you quickly know where you stand!
Step 1: Confirmation of receipt
You have submitted a legal question and a query form. If we can process your question, you will receive a confirmation including the name of the lawyer who will handle your case*.
*If your legal issue arose before you became a member or you have already engaged another legal assistance provider for the same issue, we cannot process your problem. You will be informed of this.
Step 2: Information, advice and mediation
The lawyer will assess your file and contact you as soon as possible. The lawyer may request additional information if necessary. If needed, the lawyer will contact your employer or benefits agency in consultation with you.
Step 3: Legal steps
Our lawyers always try to resolve the issue without court intervention first. Only if this is not possible will a litigation lawyer be engaged. They will ensure that your file reaches the court. Our litigation lawyers prepare and conduct the procedures. Should it be necessary to appeal, an expert solicitor will be ready to assist you.
Step 4: How long does it take?
The duration of your file being processed depends on the nature and scope of the issue. For example, if you want your employment contract checked, you may have an answer within a few days. But if your employer has applied for a dismissal permit with the UWV, it may take up to six weeks. This is because you are dealing with statutory deadlines within which parties have the opportunity to respond. Court procedures usually take even longer. The litigation lawyer or solicitor handling your case will inform you about this.
