It's nearly April 1st and we are receiving many questions about the salary and job structure in the catering CLA. This concerns whether or not to apply the existing salary and job structure from Part B of the catering CLA for employees who fall under Part A.
CLA parties have decided that a new salary and job structure will be introduced. However, the implementation date has not yet been determined. In the worst-case scenario, this new system will only be introduced at the start of the next catering CLA.
For completeness, you will find the agreement from the CLA below:
Article 23.3
a. CLA parties have agreed that they preferably want to apply the new hospitality salary and job structure for all employees by January 1, 2025. This also applies to employees who fall under Part A of the CLA (see protocol provision A). If this is not achieved by January 1, 2025, and there is no prospect of implementing the new salary and job structure by April 1, 2025, then sub b of this clause will come into effect.
b. From April 1, 2025, the employee will be classified in the existing salary and job structure as included in Part B of this CLA. It is guaranteed that the employee will not be financially disadvantaged.
