Erwin Gosselink is now remunerated as the secretary-treasurer of De Horecabond.
Erwin Gosselink has been nominated by the selection committee, the board, and the Supervisory Board of FNV Horecabond as a candidate for secretary-treasurer. If the Members’ Meeting ratifies this nomination on 22 May, the 38-year-old Gosselink will succeed the recently departed Esther de Jong.
For the staff and members, Gosselink is no stranger. Since July 2020, he has been the manager of legal affairs for FNV Horecabond. “I am honoured to be nominated and that the board and the Supervisory Board support my candidacy.”
In his new role, he wants to continue building on the beautiful organisation as it has been established. “I see it as my mission to maintain the connection between our mission and vision on the one hand and active members and the work organisation on the other.” He will continue along the path that has been set, with plenty of room for innovation. “In an organisation where there is a lot of energy. FNV Horecabond has felt like an ideal match for me from the very first moment.”
He describes his style as connecting. “This role suits me because I feel the passion that people have for their profession. Just like in our sectors, the result depends on a good team, and it’s people who make the difference.”
Before joining FNV Horecabond, Gosselink worked as a lawyer. “Whereas as a lawyer I mostly stood up for the rights of an individual, at the union we do this for the collective, which means you reach more people. That gives me a great deal of satisfaction.”
What about his own experience in the sectors? Laughing: “Nowadays, I also make many business visits in my private time, I really enjoy dining out.”
