De Horecabond has begun preparations for negotiations on a new Zoo CLA. To ensure the negotiation strategy aligns well with the wishes of employees, the union is calling on everyone working in a zoo to complete a short questionnaire.
With the survey, we aim to gain insight into the topics that employees believe should be prioritised during the upcoming CLA negotiations. The union is considering not only salary but also topics such as travel allowances, vitality, and other secondary employment conditions.
“Before we sit down with employers, we first want to know what is important to employees,” says Carlo Snoek, union representative at De Horecabond and negotiator for the Zoo CLA. “Their experiences and ideas form the basis with which we enter the negotiations.” In August, De Horecabond will visit all zoos in the Netherlands to engage with employees personally.
The questionnaire is open to everyone working in a zoo, regardless of whether they are a member of De Horecabond. The results will be used to determine the strategy for the upcoming CLA negotiations.
“The more employees make their voices heard, the better we can represent their interests at the negotiation table,” says Snoek. The results of the questionnaire will be discussed with the CLA committee of De Horecabond and will form the basis for the proposals that will be presented to employers later this year.
The more employees participate, the stronger we enter the negotiations. The questionnaire can be found at dehorecabond.nl/dierentuintopper.
