Why we are already starting to gather ideas for the new CLA recreation

The negotiations for a new CLA recreation may seem far off. Yet we have already started gathering ideas, concerns, and wishes from employees in the sector. We do this deliberately. Only in this way do we know what is really happening on the shop floor and what is important for the upcoming negotiations.

The past period has been tough for many employees. Many are still waiting for new salary agreements, while life has become significantly more expensive. The workload remains high, and commuting costs are increasing. At the same time, experienced employees are leaving the sector, and fewer people are entering it.

Why participating is important

At the negotiation table, we are the voice of recreation employees. Therefore, we need to know what is happening on the shop floor. What is going well? What needs improvement? What challenges do employees face? The more employees participate, the stronger we will be at the table. Only together can we make good agreements about wages, workload, and other employment conditions.

What we frequently hear from the sector

Many employees are concerned about their income. Bills are becoming harder to pay, finding housing with the Updates income is difficult, and grocery shopping increasingly requires making choices.

Additionally, we hear a lot about the high workload. The work is becoming more demanding, while there are fewer colleagues. Experienced employees, in particular, feel this pressure strongly. They fill gaps, take on extra tasks, and bear increasing responsibility. Meanwhile, new employees increasingly choose other sectors where wages or allowances are often better arranged. This makes it more challenging to attract and retain new colleagues.

How a CLA is created

A CLA is not just created at the negotiation table. First, we gather information from employees through questionnaires, conversations, and meetings. With this information, we determine our approach for the negotiations. Then, unions and employers engage in discussions to make new agreements. Why many responses help

Every idea and response helps. The larger the group of participating employees, the stronger the signal to employers. When many employees share the same concerns or wishes, it shows what is happening in the sector. This gives more strength during the negotiations.

What we hope for the new CLA

People in recreation work hard and are proud of their profession. Good employment conditions and fair compensation should accompany this.

Only when employees truly feel valued will the sector remain attractive to both new and experienced colleagues. This is crucial for the future of recreation.
